It was Ian’s idea to show the colors being used in a mural in the actual palette. Prior to this the colors were simply tallied and you were told how many colors were in use below the “total number of notes” text that still exists.

Great resource, and well written. Chris new he wanted to sample a sub-area for its colors and average them out to compare to the useable palette. He looked online and found this site which has a write up that actually walks you through doing exactly that using the bitwise operators.
Always a great resource in general for ActionScript. This time it was to get a better understanding of the bitwise operators. Write up is here.
