Over on CNN they have a video showcasing post-it note mural “wars” taking place between office buildings in France. Pretty awesome, and some epic sized post-it note murals. This is a prime example I think of where something like Heavy Mural would shine. We need more global mural wars!

Mural Wars
September 28th, 2011Temporary pixels
September 13th, 2011Just came across a product called Pixels XL that may be ideal for some folks. It’s a bit pricey, especially if you want to make a decent sized mural, but you get a lot of great color options.
They are basically just magnets, and require you to have painted your walls with a ferric based paint/primer to allow for them to stick.
If I had the extra money, I’d cover my whole house in these. Change the design constantly. Maybe throw in some whiteboard paint here and there too.

Wooden pixels
September 13th, 2011Talk about some commitment to their art. 8BITWOOD cuts out thousands of pieces of wood to then have to stain them all to achieve the different shades needed to create his pixel based wooden murals. Awesome.
Here are a couple of pieces he’s made.

If you want to do something like this, Heavy Mural may help make the blue print for you to do it. One less thing to worry about!
It looks like he’ll make commissioned work as well, so if you don’t want to DIY, you can always buy one. Man, I wonder what the shipping costs of one of these is?
Post your issues here!
June 12th, 2011We’ve noticed that a few users over at the Chrome Webstore have been having problems figuring out Heavy Mural. Well, we’re here to help.
Post your problems/question in the comments below and we will try our best to help.

Halloween @ Heavy Mural
October 15th, 2009It is mid-October and Halloween is fast approaching. What better time to throw together a quick Heavy Mural project for your Halloween party, or just to impress the trick-or-treaters?

Here are the instructions that I created for the project above – Heavy Mural Halloween Project.
Here is the image is used, if you want to make changes – Frankenpumpkin.
Feel free to use the project above, or find a great Halloween picture of your own to use. Have fun and post a comment letting us know how your project went.
Post-It mural short film
July 1st, 2009A friend shared this short film with me. In the last scene, the guy could have saved some time if he had used Heavy Mural.
Awesome animation
June 12th, 2009A friend of mine sent over this awesome post-it note stop animation video that I felt was quite appropriate to share here.
Our first mural…update.
April 16th, 2009We’ll things have picked up on the services side of Heavy Robot lately and we’ve also had other things that have surfaced in our lives that have delayed our inevitable first mural. We still are going to get something up, and it should be relatively soon but we’ve just been pressed for time. We have all the materials, and space. It’s literally just a matter of time.
We promise to update the site with some more interesting content as soon as we can!

Curious about our “users”
November 5th, 2010We haven’t given this site much love over the past year and a half or so, and haven’t updated the product at all yet. We certainly haven’t forgotten about it, and do still have additional plans for the product…when we get around to implementing them
That being said, we have a number of people that sign up to be users of the site. I’m very curious as to why they sign up? The only reason to create an account on this site is to leave a comment in the blog, which no one has done. These accounts do seem to be real people, and not spam accounts (although we’ve had a few of those too).
So why are you all signing up if you’re not leaving comments? I’d love to know why, or what you think of the tool, or just your thoughts in general! :)
