In the last post, we provided a link to Magnetic Pixels, who offers an alternative medium for Heavy Mural. They currently appear to only offer the “SUPERHERO” set, but this set has a pretty decent color palette. We’ve taken the time to grab the hex values of their color palette so you can more easily add them to your custom colors.

Top Row:
(hex value in bold, followed by count from image above)
f2ec8a x 25
d2c47b x 50
d09513 x 50
8d4c0c x 25
b3dddc x 50
5dbbba x 150
148ba3 x 125
145968 x 75
Bottom Row:
(hex value in bold, followed by count from image above)
f8beba x 50
f81822 x 175
ca0d2d x 150
740828 x 100
cccdcf x 100
9d9181 x 75
52575a x 75
201708 x 125
And remember, the Magnetic Pixel magnets are only 3/8″ square in size, as opposed to the 3″ square of standard sticky-notes. So, the conversion (I believe, but someone correct me if I am wrong) is to convert the dimensions Heavy Mural gives you into inches and then divide by 8. That should give you the size, in inches, of your mural using Magnetic Pixels.
Have fun.

What about using Heavy Mural to design a mosaic mural? Any restrictions on using the program for commercial purposes?
@Roger - You’re welcome to use Heavy Mural for whatever your needs might be, commercial or non-commercial. If you do use it to create something, we’d love to hear about it!
And sorry for the delayed response, the blog doesn’t see much commenting so it had fallen off of our radar.
